Maine family friendly campground

Hi. We are hoping to go to Maine the last week in August. Was wondering if anyone had any suggestions with kids from 16-10. Thanks

Another vote for Bar Harbor KOA Oceanfront CG. Not inexpensive, but as good as it gets for the Bar Harbor / Acadia area.

Someone mentioned Normandy Farms, but that CG is an MASS, not Maine.

Normandy farms, you would need to stay a week just to do everything they offer once lol. Great for all ages.

Loads of campgrounds in the OOB area which cater to familys. check out these 2 towns, Scarborough & Old Orchard Beach for the campgrounds that might fit you needs.

We've been up there a few times, our favorites were Bayley's, Hid'n Pines and Paradise Park! :C

Bar Harbor KOA, Oceanside. You can rent kayaks right at the campground, they do lobster bakes and pancake breakfasts, and there's a shuttle bus that goes back and forth to Bar Harbor with bunches of stops in between. Has "movie night" as well as other kid's activities. You get the "touristy" stuff of mini-golf, shopping, go-karting, and the like as well as ocean beauty, sailing and whale watching, and Acadia National Park. Whatever you pick, book soon.

We stayed a week at Bayleys in Scarborough. We didn't like it as it was over flowing with out of control kids.

But it might be perfect for,a family with kids. Scarborough has lots to do for families and one of the few bid wide sandy beaches.

Bayleys has a shuttle they run to the beach.
