Need more Adult RV Parks

Nothing against children, but adults that need to be around other adults without children or grand children is a welcome site. We have our own group of adults and it is enjoyable just to be around other adults without children around. My wife and myself don't have children and are used to this life style in our motorhome. Please don't think we don't like children but we like our adult privacy also.

In my experience, the issue isn't the kids . . . It is the parents of the kids. Add to that the prevailing attitude that the rules are for everyone else, and the too frequent attitude of parks that enforcement of rules will cost them revenue . . .
My wife and I utilize 55+ parks where available.

On a trip last year to Arkansas there was a family with kids when we got there and the kids was very well behaved. When this family left they was replaced with a family that had wild Indians for kids. We was glad we was leaving the next day. With the first family we able to sit and enjoy the outdoors, but not with the second family.

If I have a choice I would choose an adult only park.

There are well behaved children and misbehaving children. There are well behaved adults and there are misbehaving adults. It's hard to know what you are going to get. A drive through the camp may tell you somewhat.

It may be time to let this thread die. as long as you have two people there will be differences of opinion.

That is the bottom line. Businesses supply what is in demand, in order to make a profit.

Anybody up for some capital "I" Irony?

Check out the thread posted early today by a young mom who's looking for a nice RV park in the Phoenix area that ISN'T "restricted to over 55's".

She's gotten ONE response, and that one asked if she can dry camp.

Over Fourth of July when we are on the road traveling across country is when we seek 55+ parks as we want some peace & quiet which has been found and noted as such in our travel diary. We are given choices whether to live near elementary schools, so why not a choice to camp where we are most comfortable ? Just saying ...

So go there.

We're in our 70's and like having young people around, like our grand-kids and anyone else's around, like teenagers(sometimes that's pushing it) around, like people our age around. Who wants to sit around with a bunch of old-farts our age discussing their latest ailments.
