...next stop possibly after leaving Yuma heading East then further into S. AZ for more extended before going to TX.

Looking for a place to stay for a week over New Years off of I-10 between Phoenix and Tucson.

All comments appreciated and again, thanks in advance.

We stayed at PALM CREEK RV RESORT in Casa Grande, AZ, right off I-10. 1800 sites with 18 hole executive golf course. One of the cleanist, best run facilities we have ever been in.........Lots of pools, pickleball courts, etc. All sites have a palm tree and cement patio................:B

The idea of Picacho, or now even Casa Grande, is a stopover on our way further South then East.

Last winter we were in Huachuca City, Tombstone Territories, and visited a lot of the places in the area including Kartcner, Tombstone, Bisbee, Sierra Vista, Ft Huachuca....great history and most enjoyable.

Leaving Yuma I would take 8 and stay in Casa Grande. That is unless you want to go through Phoenix. Picacho is a nice park but not near any shopping, grocery stores or resturants.

We prefer the Casa Grande RV Resort in Casa Grande. Excellent park with no noise, big rig friendly and very nice owners and staff. Also accept RPI..Close to shopping too....50 minutes south of Phoenix and 68 minutes north of Tucson....Dennis

Picacho RV park is beautiful

Gas is very very expensive at the adjacent Dairy Queen. Buy it in Tucson.
