Someone recently posted a link to this great website - love the searches and extensive data base.

Question is does anybody know where they get the star ratings on campgrounds.

Glad you found my website. I am the developer of http://www.rvparky.com.

Since it is a new website, lots of parks do not have any ratings yet. Instead of showing these as 0 stars, I calculated an average rating from other websites to give a general impression of the park's quality.

For those parks that do not have any reviews yet, there is a "Search the web for reviews" link that will take you directly to a Google search for the RV park -- which will usually take you to rvparkreviews.com.

By the way, I also have available an Android app. An iOS (iPhone/iPad) app is coming very soon.

I typed in my hometown and all RV parks say "no reviews." I did notice that it picked up BLM/FS sites which are not included in rvparkreviews.com Might be another tool in my bag. But until it has as much depth as rvparkreviews.com it is not of much use to me. Did a whois search and it returned:

This site is simply a search aggregation system for Google searches. A rather nicely done one at that....

Is this a new website? It looks good, but I checked a dozen campgrounds I know well in three sates and NONE of them had a review written.
