New Entry Steps

I finally had enough of the finger grabbing, wobbly folding entry stairs and put together these.


I bought 2 of these aluminum 3 step stringers from Home Depot

And 3 of these steps

I used a pair of these stainless steel take apart locking hinges. They are fastened to 1/4" aluminum plate that is screwed to the structure below the door.

I was fortunate that the stairs when assembled were the perfect width and height for my trailer. I will have to use some blocks underneath to account for uneven ground. My 280 pounds jumping up and down on them didn't bother them at all.

Wow, nice work. How are the stair treads attached? Does the whole thing disassemble for transport?

I am looking at this thread on a tablet and can see all pictures just fine. Just not in the OP. There is a Photobucket placeholder saying "Sorry this person moved or deleted the image". Same story on my smartphone.

Not to worry though - I am sure that it is a nice mod. I will have a look on my laptop next time I wake it up.
