I installed a Torqlift model A7804 step system on my FW last week. After doing an axle flip I had looked at Lipert and other brands of 4 step units but also read about having to support them. I figured if a 3 step bounces, a 4 step would be even worse so I never bought.
How high is the floor of your trailer above the ground elevation with level ground & level trailer?
There is a wide variation in floor heights in trailers due to different equalizers, springs, over/under slung axles and tire dia. and height of I-beams and the bottom step adjusts from min. 7.5" above grade to +10.5" above grade.

I read on their site that a step can be added or removed easily when needed, but there doesn't seem to be a video to show how it is done.
Do you know how easy this is?
