Quick question what do you carry for a air compressor to air up to 80psi my old trusty inflator 12volt worked fine on the 65psi tires but struggles and shuts down around 72psi looking for a new one, tried a small pancake can't get them up above 75 looking for something to carry along that's not to big.

I asked the same question a while back and bought the Viair 400P-RV. I used it the other day to top up the tires after sitting all winter. Took a few minutes. One powerful and quiet compressor. Just hooked it to my truck battery and filled the tires.
Ordered it from Amazon and had it in a couple of days.

I carry the Harbor Freight oil less 100 psi pancake compressor that costs between $40-$60 depending on which sale. It is very light, easy to put in a far corner of the storage area out of the way. It has a standard quick disconnect. Then buy a cheap coiled hose and a filler end with a built in gauge, It will do the tires on the RV (82psi) no problem, including the inside duals with no extensions.

Slow, and noisy, compared to a shop compressor, but how often do I need it? Pluses are that it can be run off the small inverter anytime on the road, and you can lift it at arm's length easily. I try to go lightweight on items that are infrequently used. Apparently, it all adds up!

I use an ARB twin mounted in a case. I can use it to inflate any of my tires as well as run an impact to change the tires. It runs on 12 volts.

Harbor freight 12v the expensive one 29.00 LOL . I mainly use it on our air ride pinbox. I did test is on our truck tire 80psi and it worked. I always check my tires before we leave and use big compressor at home.

I cover/cable lock this guy in the back of my truck: 6 gal compressor . I found it really handy for cleaning things, inflating toys, blowing out the water lines, as well as inflating tires. Its light and all the vulnerable components are tucked away which prevents bump damage.

I have a 6 gallon, 150 psi Porter Cable pancake type that I bought at Lowe's about 3 years ago. Works really great. It's light weight and fits easily in my front basement. Hope this helps.
