His 2016 250 has a 'curb' weight of ~6828#
My 2007 3500 has a 'curb' weight of ~6610#
218# difference is NOT a lot heavier.
I have a hard time believing that a 2016 F250 4X4 is 1,000 lbs lighter that my 2015 3500 Ram 4x4. Ford's site notes Base Unit weight. I unless you have a 2x4 gasser your 2007 3500 would be heavier than 6610.

Not even close to a problem with that combo. If you're worried put bags or timbrens on the truck and you're good up to a SRW F350's ratings in all aspects. GVWR is class limited so means little in this scenario.
Surprised the weight police haven't jumped on you for that comment yet.
There's a thread over on the Jayco forum where guys are telling a newbie that his 32 BHDS (my camper) will be a questionable load for a Ram 2500 (my truck). I got raked over the coals for telling him he'd be fine.

His truck is most likely a lot heavier than yours, which eats into GVWR.

Your 2016 F250 has ratings similar to my 2007 3500 SRW
I tow 14K 5th wheel....am over GVWR few hundred lbs, right at RAWR/Rear tire Max Load Ratings
That trailer's GVWR is 2000# LESS then actual scaled weight of my 5vr
You will be just fine......
Might be close to RAWR but OK

I tow a 11200 lb 5th wheel trailer with a 2500 Dodge/Cummins. I'm 200-300 lbs over GVWR but the trucks 6000 rawr comes in at 5200-5400 lbs depending on how much we load the rig.
I added super springs to the rear of this truck as it has no upper overload spring pack. Don't add anything till you load the rig and make a short trip. Then is the time to decide if bags are needed.
The truck won't have any issues towing that size trailer.
