Any way to haul 2 RZR's in Toyhauler

We are looking at getting back into the Toyhauler game but are running into problems. First off I only have a 98 Dodge SWR 4x4 Short bed cummins truck with extended cab to tow with so I don't have enough truck to pull a trailer that could haul both RZR's at the same time so my only other option is this. Try to find a shorter travel trailer type that I would put one RZR in the Trailer and the other in the back of my truck bed. But like I said it's only a short bed so not sure if this would even work. My other option is to buy a 5th wheel and tow a trailer behind that. So pull doubles. I don't really have an issue with pulling doubles cause I use to do if for a living as a truck driver back in the day. But my issues are what size 5th wheel could I do this with or could I just buy a non 5th wheel trailer and pull both rzr's behind that? Only issue with that would be weight of second trailer. Any info of how best to do this would be appreciated. We are in unchartered waters on this one. We have owned a 03 WW FS2600 and a Rampage 370 5ver in the past but never anything that we pulled doubles with. So if anyone can help me out here and hopefully post up some photo's of your setup and give some real world insite on doing this that would be sweet.

we just upgraded to a larger toyhauler but we keep the side x side's on the bed of the truck (in the pic below we just have quads on the bed; but we have enough room for a pair of rzr's or rangers); then quads in the garage of the toyhauler

I'm thinking about a HDT setup. I need to be able to haul a 12' rzr4 on the back of the truck. I'm wondering what wheelbase truck I would need with a 610 like you have?

I have 19ft of storage in my 38SP. I would think two RZR's would not be a problem. It is fairly light at around 10K unloaded for a 5th wheel. With a Teryx and 2 Eton 90's plus a 400EX full of water and propane it is around 14600. Not sure what the capacity of your truck is though.

They are 8-9' long depending on the cage and bumpers selected. They are too wide to go along side each other, so you really need 18'+ to take two of them.

How long are the rzrs? i'm a 2 wheeled kind of guy so i really don't know. Would a 295 wp by Cherokee work? I keep looking at this model because it seems to fit my needs now and some of my future needs as well. Now if I could only turn loose of the money...............

fireman I thought you had a toyhauler with an HDT. Bummer you had to let it go. Really enjoying our new one. Hope you can find something that will work for you.

We ran into the same issue of hauling two SxS vehicles. There are goose neck aluminum chassis haulers with living quarters that your 3/4t could pull, but they are expensive and get to be long when you need an 18'+ garage. We decided on a truck camper with enclosed trailer in tow. It gives us the flexibility to take our garage with us, leave it home, or take a short flat bed when hauling fewer toys.

First, I think I would try and find a flatbed/ranch bed for the truck. I would then weld some ramps to the headache rack that would allow you to drive the front or back of a rzr up high enough that it allows you to comfortably pull a tag trailer.

Then I wold look for a nice tag toy hauler so you have good water and fuel capacity etc. as well as can fit another rzr.

When you get the above done let me know- I need another excuse to come to Utah and ride!

Did you buy the HDT already converted or did you have it done? How's the maintenance costs?

we bought it pretty much completed (singled/bed/interior/tires & rims)
we went through and added all the audio/video in the cab, had it relicensed as a motorhome, added an air hitch and had it striped to match our toy hauler

scheduled maintenance isn't bad; just had an oil change done which includes the coolant and fuel filters and it was $255; which is good for 15k miles

unexpected repairs are what can really hurt; like if you need to put in a clutch, do some tranny work etc

Just completed a trip through the badlands, Jackson WY then Yellowstone, so lots of mountains, tons of wind in WY etc. It rarely downshifts and the engine braking is awesome. Over 2500 miles through those hills and such it averaged 9.3mpg.

The negatives are in regards to storage or what to drive when you arrive. If we are sightseeing we'll rent a Jeep or something to bomb around in.

we have a rzr 50 and a full sized ranger on tracks; buddies have s's and xp's
basically on the truck we have 10ft of space ahead of the 5th wheel and we can pretty much mix and match what we need to in order to get all the toys someplace. unless tracks are on then it gets tighter

ie, sometimes we take a side x side or two and sometimes we just take the quads

We have done the HDT route also. Loved it. But having a dedicated tow rig takes up room that we don't have anymore. It was a head turner though and we paid less than $20k for the truck. Of course I spend another $10k getting it all decked out like I wanted to. Then we sold it for $37k. Made some money and had some fun.

Never seen one of those before but that looks awesome. But for $7K? Ouch. Think I will have to pass. That's nearly half my toyhauler budget..

Have you looked at the Idaho Tote, have friends that have one attached to the back of the trailer and works like a champ. A solid well built tagalong, plus with the adaptors on a tow bar, you could have one in the back of the PU and the second on on the Idaho Tote, for transportation to any place you could drive the pickup, after setting up camp.

have an 06 Raptor at 39',garage is only 12' so if everyone goes I pull a 16' 2axle behind.I'm a little long ,but never been stopped,and pulling for 6 years.Pull now with a f450,but started with a f2500.5th is approx,16k,loaded.Look for a 5th with open design.a buddy has a Forest River thats 32' and can load all the way to the stove.He pulls with a 99 F2500and has never had any problems.has 2bunks in back that drop down,sleeps 8.Would be OK,his trailer does not have slides so its about 8.5k empty.loaded around 12k,I think.
