I used car wax, Nu Finish (great on the cars) on my 09 Heartland RV. It has no oxidation but wax job looks splotchy. The metal and plastic parts shine teriffic but not the gel coat. Anyone have a wax they like?
Thanks

I tried Rejex based on many glowing reviews, and I found it no easier to apply than standard wax. Now that winter is nearly over I rubbed a couple bugs that got left on over the winter and they did rub right off. I will have to see what happens when I can wash the nose of the 5er where it was installed when the weather straightens out.

Wash N Wax system is fantastic. Spray it on wipe it off, the dirt is gone and I mean really gone, and a wax coat left behind. No water hose needed. Stuff was developed for aircraft and the last time I looked it was rated number one by reviews on Amazon.

x2 just got some a few months back and so far I have only used it on my car. 20 minutes to do the Camry. Super easy and great shine and protection.

I have tried many waxes over the years on fiberglass trailers, including Nu Finish, which left a blotchy finish. Now I stay with Meguiars Flagship Marine Wax. It leaves a high gloss, mirror like finish on my 2004 5th wheel. I use a 10" buffer but it still is a lot of work but worth the effort, IMO.

X2 Use Meguiars Flagship Marine Wax twice a year on my 2016 KZ Durango and it looks great, easy to clean & very little if any fading of decals.

I use MeQuires cleaner wax. takes off oxidation, slight scratches, and leaves a super slick shine.

Zep works well on gel coat, and will last for several years.

I use NuFinish, have for years. I don't seem to get the blotchy effect some are stating here. :h I only wax our fifth wheel once year, I do however wax the front cap at least two or three times a year to make removing bug splatters easier.

Lots of good suggestions here, pick one and go with it! :B

Driven to perfection

Not cheap at $20 a bottle. Takes two bottles to do our 40 ft DP. After 11 years it glows. Goes on very easy and come off even easier.

If your unit is in need of it use the diluted stuff and some clay to get all the dirt and crud off. Then put on a coat that will last for a year. Use the touch up stuff to wipe it down when needed. You can do a large area before wiping it off.

I use this on the fifth, the boat, the truck etc.
The bugs just slide off when I wash. A great and easy product to use.

But any oxidation should be polished off first.

I recently used a paste wax which, if applied properly, would do the best job but it ended up with streaks even tho I used an electric buffer. Do the next time I will use a liquid was with the buffer; not sure which one.
