I have a 2014 heartland road warrior 415.... Now 3 weeks out of warranty of course.
Here is the mystery. This just started Friday night.
I was pulling my slides in and the last one just stopped. Sounded like the power
Was weak. After 30 seconds I hit the button and the slide came right in.
So I went under the bay , I have the lippert 6 point hydraulic system. At this point I'm running on battery power, my generator is off. The voltage on the LCD screen says 12.8
As I hit the button to retract the legs I watch the voltage on the screen drop all the way
Down to 10.9 and the system cuts off. Wait 25 seconds comes back on and voltage climbs right back up and I get the legs in.
I think ok bad battery. I get home take the battery to autozone, yes battery bad, replace with new deep cycle battery. Test system. Same exact thing happens voltage drops etc.
So in abundance of caution and to test returned new battery bought a another new 27 series battery from camping world. Test same thing happens. Ummm ok.
So plug into shore power. This should boost voltage and everything should work.
Well same thing happens plugged in to shore power. Slides and legs stop on return in journey. Now I'm thinking converter. Take the converter out and have camping world bench test for me and its good 13.7 amps or what ever.
So new battery, converter is good, checked all connections are tight, no shorts. So I think the mini buss fuses in the bay near the generator ( look like grey Legos 2 poles almost) replace the ones that go from
Battery and to the lippert motor.
Same thing happens.
Spend all day with lippert and heartland, no ideas.
My hydraulic fluid was a little low, so they suggest filling the tank, AND changing that buss fuss that goes off the motor to battery to a 40 amp. Done.
Next they say to run slides in and out a few times with brakes in between to let motor rest, and purge any air in system. Done.
Ok plug in shore Power slides come in with out stopping but you can tell still drawing power, the only reason they didn't stop is nc of me replacing that 30 to 40 amp buss fuse in the line.
So I leave it plugged into shore power last night to make sure battery was fully charged.
Went out this morning disconnected shore power, ran out slides, auto leveled, running in slides went real low voltage again, then ran in legs , watched on the LCD screen go from 12.8 all the way down to 10.6 and cut off. 20 seconds later comes back on charge goes back up and I can bring legs in.
So all that still in same boat,
New battery, converter good, new or upgrades on buss fuse, hydraulic fluid topped off. Only thing I didn't change out was circuit breakers in main panel inside. But the fuses in there are all good and the fuses on the converter were good.
Anyone have any further ideas I can check?
I put multi meter on everything slide pump motor, fuses battery and everything is pulling what I think it should.
Thanks for any suggestions?
