I am looking to make the switch from TR to 5W and have been looking at the Open Range brand. Is this a good choice and do they make a quaity rig? Can someone rate the top 5 brands for quality and dependabilty.

In our unit the ladder hangs up against the side wall of the storage bay and takes no more than than about 4 inches along that wall. Since we have bicycles on a rack behind our trailer, the attachment points don't bother us. ๐Ÿ™‚

That ladder is easily detached (it's designed to do that!)and stored inside the basement storage. ๐Ÿ˜‰

Had mine for 2 1/2 years. Beautiful inside and out. Had some initial problems that the dealer made even worse. So we ended up taking it back to the factory for repairs. They did just a very wonderful job for us. All under warranty...even though the warranty was up for 5 month before the factory got it.

They even fixed some things we didn't know were not quite right. What a great company. Toured the factory. They build them even better today than they did in 2011. And they make upgrades during the model year, rather than wait for the new model year. So to make sure you get the latest model, make sure you check the build date on the yellow sticker on the street side. It shows the "manufactured date". Get the latest date possible.

For example we looked at two 2011's identical models. One was $4300 more expensive than the other. That one was the newer model. And it had the leveling system, day/night shades, and some other really nice standard features that the older 2011 model did not have. We bought the newer one.

We have owned our OR 5'er for a bit over 2 years. We love the rig and customer service from the factory has been great. Another plus is the 2+5 warranty. If they have the floor plan you want go for it.

2012 Open Range 399BHS bought as a frame with our input on build and it is the best Camper I have owned in 7 years of 5th wheel bliss. We bought it new in 2011 and it has over 100 nights on it already. Minimal fuss and problems, beautiful inside and out and wonderful layout and systems integration.

I have a Roamer and while I like the floor plan and features, the quality control is the worst I have had and I have owned 12 new RV's.

I have a 2013 OpenRange Residential R430RLS Excellent unit had it since February.
Its a Excellent 5W exept the bathroom and bedroom doors are sagging about 1/3inch which prevented the doors latch from going into metal bracket thingy on the door frame, which I lower a 1/2inch so The latch fit. Other than This they use nice materials inside and out. Mine came with the Anniversary edt.(edition) I Love the Stan-less Steel Appliances and leveling system and the led lighting.
LOVE IT!!

We have a 2012 Open Range 345RLS which we picked up in April, 2011. We've put over 20,000 miles on it and have had very few minor problems. Mostly it's just a great unit and we've been very pleased with it!

I suggest you sign on to the owner's forum and ask all the questions you want! It's a great group of folks and they would welcome you and your questions.
