Read the instruction manual. Do not raise the trailer until you can see daylight. Doing this can bind the wrap around jaw between the larger/bottom of the pin and the bottom of the plate.
Chock the trailer wheels.
Raise trailer to remove most of the weight from the truck.
Try to pull the handle.
If you can not pull the handle put the truck in reverse and ease back so there is pressure against the pin. Set the parking brake.
Now pull the handle. It should be very easy to pull.

Anybody else have problems unhooking there FW with this hitch? I always have to back up and raise and lower it several times just to unhook(it's worse if there is a slope) its a PITA. Also the 10 degree off center for hooking up is ridiculous. If you have these issues what did you do to solve it or did you just get a new hitch?
