R.I.P. Bob Wanderer

My Dad, Bob Wanderer, lost his battle with cancer on Friday (12/13) night. He will be missed!!!

Leaves a wife, 2 sons, and a grandson.

Hey guys thanks for the well wishes, it means a lot to us. That was my brother John that started the thread. I am Bob's son JJ, I was the one with the son on the 50 and I also won a poker run many year back. Pops was a very private man so we are trying to keep the services small. But if you are in the North Anderson OHV area on Pres day weekend at North Anderson staging area, ride to our camp(BPMC flags). I will speak a bit about pops let anyone else have a few words then will be sending him off in a spectacular way weather permitting around 10am.

I have asked Lila to let me know about any services but have not heard. They may not be doing anything public which would not surprise me, Bob wouldn't want a fuss made over him, he was that kind of guy.

Thanks for the kind words everyone, glad some of you got to meet Bob and his family face to face.

Many times by pm Bob and I bantered about, discussed camping together but never got it together.

Thanks for letting us know JJ. (You're the one who won the poker run, right?)

Your dad was one of the best. He was always a gentleman here.

I could always tell by his posts that he loved his family and that he was a man who was loved back. He had some chances to turn into a bitter old guy, but he always kept his head high here.

We had fun on the trips where we camped together and we enjoyed it when he stopped by our camp to say hello when we weren't camped together.

One time that stands out in my mind was over New Year when we were all out for a ride. Your dad stopped by our camp and nobody was around, but "that little dog ran over and humped {his} boot". That dog knocked up my dog on that trip.

Thanks for sharing the hard news with us. Please tell your mom how much I appreciated him and how much I'll miss him.

R.I.P Bob. I met him once at one of the Rallies along with his Grandson on a TTR-50, we had a few conversations VIA PM's over the years. A great guy.. He will be missed on here and in our everyday life... Thank you so much for posting this JJ and thanks for sharing your Dad with the rest of us..

Wow I shocked I have posted back and forth with Bob for years camped by each other at the 07 rally, never could hit the desert at the same time. Sorry for your loss RIP Bob
