Well top valve is open. Bottom valve is open. Middle valve is closed. Now no water at all coming out of the hot water taps. Cold water taps OK.

After running through some problem solving steps we think it might be a check valve. We did a combination of open and closed valves. There is hot water in the water heater. It has pex lines and valves. We think the cold in line valve was put on wrong ( just checked and winterized by rv dealerhad it ). Once we put the cold valve the wrong way!!! We have water again from all taps including outside shower but not hot. It is so awkward to see and get to. Guess our next step is take it to an rv repair place. Anyone know a good one near Troy Alabama. Thanks for all the suggestions.

"We think the cold in line valve was put on wrong", just had it checked & winterized.

Was this by-pass system just installed or repaired at the time ?

If so, that would have been good information in your original posting.

Water pressure, but NO hot water & inlet valve in "closed" position, but is really "open", and in consideration of what you've described earlier.

Then the By-pass valve is also wrong.
I'm an expert in only one field....I believe it's somewhere in Kansas.

I've never seen a check valve on a three valve system - there would be no reason for it.
I suspect you still have a valve in the wrong position. Try turning one to see what heppens. If no luck then keep trying.

X2

Think that cold inlet OR hot outlet valve handle is stripped.
Handle turns but valve is still closed

IF sure water is in WH tank---verified by opening relief valve then the hot outlet is still closed.

Remove handle and open valve using pliers on valve stem.
Is it time for your medication or mine?

IF they have 3 valves, which husband says they have, there would not be a check valve.

Well top valve is open. Bottom valve is open. Middle valve is closed. Now no water at all coming out of the hot water taps. Cold water taps OK.

This though gives a thought that perhaps there is a check valve.
Has OP checked{by overflow valve) to see that there is hot water in the tank?

Do you mean installed wrong or in wrong position? It should be opened so water goes into the tank. We have used this before no problem so don't think it is installed wrong.

OK DH insists that the valves are in the right position. There is no air coming out of the hot water tap and no water coming out at all. Water coming out of the cold water taps. Hot water tank filled. Guess we must have a bad valve in the hot water out line. Correct?

your inlet valve handle is on wrong turn to cposed and see if you get water

This has probably already been discussed but the VALVES for winterizing are elongated as shown in this pictorial.

Are your valves showing this as well...

This is a typical trailer water flow diagram that may help as well..

Are you SURE the valves are in the positions as stated?
Did you allow enough time for the HW tank to fill up? Does air come out of the hot water taps?
