We've been living on the wrong side of the tracks

I was walking down the street of our RV park and saw a DRV Full House toy hauler. I'd never heard of one of these before so I looked it up on the web. How wrong I was. It's not a toy hauler, it's a Luxury Asset Hauler.

They mock our rigs us:tricycle, them : sportbike; us: push cart, them: ATV; us: carry our own clubs, them golf cart.

I'm depressed.

I think I'll go out and ride my tricycle for a while.

But the sign doesn't say per axle, per tire, single vehicle etc.
Drv is nice, and we have considered their FullHouse for our next rolling home. It's either that or build a custom unit.

Crazy weight for a portable shelter.

Very nice. I checked them out and I think the Grand Design Momentum product is just as nice and it's half the price. Although the GD is not designed for full timing, I'm not retired yet, so it isn't an issue.

Not saying I wouldn't buy a DRV, just not now.

I hope you enjoy your new rig. Since I started this thread some time ago it appears that DRV has turned down the snob factor on their website.

We just bought a 2017 Full House LX 450. Will take delivery in a week or two. It has a shipping weight of 18,880 lbs. and a gross weight of 24K lbs. We currently have a Mobile Suites Lexington 43 footer (bunkhouse) 19K Lbs. We tow it with a 2016 Ram 3500 no problem. Yes, they are more expensive, but they are built pretty solid. We started with the cheaper rv's and have slowly worked up to the new 2017. It is a nice tax write off. There is nothing wrong with people having campers that are not ridiculously priced... As long as everyone is having a fun time camping. That is all that really matters. Now that we can afford it,, we bought it. See ya out there.

I really like the DRV units but for what there charging I'd be looking at Spacecraft or New Horizon.
