We purchased a small Bissell upright from Walmart for $39.99 last year. It's small, fits into, under and around most everything in the fiver. Has great suction and it was cheap. I am not willing to pay $100-$200 for a vacuum for the fiver.

I use the smallest Craftsman wet/dry shop vac. Works well for us.

We have 2 of these in the house, one for the upper level, one for the lower level. When we go camping, we take one along. They are so great! The technology has GREATLY improved over the years on robotic vacuums. This one does not just randomly sweep in all directions, it actually analyzes the room and lays out a course. It works well in the house and in the camper.

The only small problems are tight corners, but then, unless you have a vacuum on a wand, most vacuums won't get clear in the deep corners anyway. We use a little wisk brook is used to brush out the corners then let the vacuum suck it up.

The nice thing is, you can let it run and you don't have to be there! We love ours! (at home and camping).

Always after we've returned from a trip, we run one in the camper, as everything is picked up, and no one to get in its way. If the charge begins to run low, it will return home to it's docking station, recharge, take off again, and continue exactly where it left off.

Click here. I do sing it's praises!

Just purchased a Dyson cordless vacuum. I haven't used it much. So far it seems to work quite well. Lots of suction and holds a charge for roughly 20 minutes of continuous vacuuming.

I installed a Intervac in our class A. The hose stretches enough to reach everything easily, and it has a vacuum port at floor level so you just sweep everything into it, if you have a lino floor.

Works really well and the hose and accessories are of quality construction.

Not an employee, just a happy customer.

We much prefer our built in Dirt Devil central vac. All you have to store is the hose. The suction unit itself mounts in a compartment, runs off of 110V and is very small. I don't think she'll like a shop vac, you may wind up doing the vacuuming.........
