I'd like to give a huge THANK YOU to Brad, the Moderator over the Truck Campers forum for his assistance with this thread.

Thanks also to RVcrazed51 for his request for this thread.

Post photos of your Fifth Wheel on this thread. Any photo with a 5er in it is allowable; any brand, any year.

This thread is generally for Fifth Wheel photos only. But feel free to post comments on posted photos.

Because this thread is very long, I will occasionally clean it up by removing the older posts that do not have Fifth Wheel photos and other off topic material. Also, please limit photo width to 640 pixels by using: width=640. Please do not post thumbnail size photos, they are just too small to see.

Register at photobucket.com (free), download your pictures (takes a while), hi-lite and copy the URL, then use the "image" icon to paste the photo URL.

Hi everybody, I'm looking to buy a fifth wheel, hopefully by the end of the year. And I was just wondering if some of you would care to post some pics of your fiver.

Thank you was a lil nervous with the sleeper setup but even without slider hitch I have pretty good turning radius. When I bought trailer P.O. gave me a slider but it needs tear down and greasing to slide. So 400 mile trip back to its new home without slider. But now I can carry family of six in comfort and my Bernese mountain dog. As well as haul the play toys. Thanks for the compliment

The sleeper cab is a cowtown sleeper out of Texas called their Setter series. Customized interior to customer specs. It removes rear glass of truck and is connected by rubber boot so cooling is not a problem. It has two side ways mounted seats facing the middle with seat belts and rear entry door.

It's a short bed.

I was just curious because I steered clear of a short bed for fear of not having enough space for the hitch and turning radius I wanted. As it turns out, it was a needless concern. Next time I'll know better.

I do use ratchet straps as they don't give any at all and I can adjust them easily. I also use the dog tie out anchors(walmart) to secure them into the ground. I also use the orange ones as everyone, including myself, has a tendency to walk into them. I love this mod. I still take it down in bad storms, but not nearly as nervous in just little pop up storms.

Heh, I just got back from Lowes where I picked up all the PVC and fittings I needed to duplicate what you did. I'm proud to say I guessed right on everything except possibly the saddle as I couldn't find a 3" T. So instead I got what's called a 3" sanitary T, where the bottom of the T is slightly offset on one side. I also got a different end cap (a perfectly fitting drain plug) for the 1.5" pipe. It's more square rather than rounded and fits into the bottom of the T saddle a bit better.

I noticed from your link and pictures that you both appear to use ratchet tie downs rather than bungee cords like I did, so I'll have to put mine in the camper now that I'll have rigid ground poles.

The top piece is a 3" saddle for making T taps into existing pipes. All I did to it was cut the tabs off of the sides with a 10" miter saw so the edges wouldn't touch the awning fabric. Here is the link I used to build mine form the Wildcat forum. I followed these directions except that my poles are 6 Ft in height due to my trailer height.

Wow, that's a pretty cool setup. It looks like two differently sized pieces of PVC with cotter pin holes drilled into them. I don't recognize the top piece that the awning reel rests on, though. Is that some kind of junction piece for PVC piping or would I find it somewhere else at Lowes / Home Depot?
