Hello everyone,

My wife and I will be starting fulltiming in June of 2014. I am searching for a gift for my wife for Valentines day and it would be great to have it rv related or fulltime related. We are new to rving and of course will be new to fulltiming.

I would appreciate any suggestions.

Thanks,

Stuart

Great ideas! Every one would be appreciated. I ended up donating to an animal shelter called Austin pets alive. I donated in Leslie's name for a rescue that needs surgery. The money will go specifically for that purpose. My son volunteers for this organization so knew of this dogs needs.

Leslie will love this gift knowing we made a difference in this dogs life ๐Ÿ™‚

One Valentines day, I had a masseuse set up to come to our home and provide her with a nice rub.

While that was happening, I cooked, (and cleaned up after) a real New England Lobster dinner. (New England Lobster in Florida was tough to find back then)

After dinner; coffee, movie and snuggling on the couch.

It was a hit.

One of my best.

Okay I already posted to your question but here is a special gift she will always have....about 5 years ago I got my wife a star in heaven and she loves it and still to this day we can look into the sky and see her star. I got it through Name A Star, I think it was about $50. You get a certificate and directions to see the star. Very Neat and she loves it every night when she looks into the heaven to find her star.

Thanks everyone,

Many awesome ideas. I really liked the suggestion of the donation to Yellowstone and the stuffed wolf. Yellowstone is on our list to visit this coming summer. We have given each other gifts of donations to dog shelters and it always goes over well.

Gifts are difficult as many of you have said when we want/need something we just buy it.

When we were getting ready to hit the road, DH gave me a new atlas & The Next Exit book. I loved them, especially since I'm his "navi-guesser."

My DW and I have been married 52 years, I have never given her a gift for any reason that was not personable. You don't give the love of your life tools, vacuums, generators for a gift. A gift should be from your heart whether it be jewelry, flowers, personal items make it about her. We have been full-timing for 8 years now and if we need something about RV-ing we buy it. If it is a gift for her I buy it and it is personable. I am 70 and she is 69 so I won't say we are beautiful but to me she is still my beautiful bride. Buy her and evening out fit she can lounge in and not feel self conscious if she goes outside. But her flowers (although I never buy flowers for any holiday), buy her some perfume, buy her a day at the spa, but buy her something for her not something to work with or to share with you.

After 52 yrs of marriage, I would take this guy's suggestions to heart! He probably knows a little bit about how to please a wife! :B

If you really want to see her eyes sparkle, get her a brand new, gift wrapped, sewer hose! Complete with attachments. She will be speechless and will never forget it!!

(sorry, could not resist. - my DW loves fresh flowers and heart-shaped pepperoni pizza with sparkling grape juice for V-day. Go figure, but it really pleases her)

We gave up buying each other gifts for those types of things a long time ago. If we want something, we just buy it. It relieves so much pressure from having to buy the perfect gift. Most of this "gift" holidays are just a way to get people to spend money. No real reason behind them.
