Best brands/models, early 2000s. Class A Diesel

Hello All,

Looking to purchase a used Class A Diesel. Budget is around 30k. Looking at early 2000s. Would prefer a 10000 LB Tow capacity as well.

What brands are the best in that year. We have seen a 2004 Holiday Rambler Endeavour that we really like but it is closer to 34k.

Most of the Fleetwoods have only 5k hitches.

Just scanned the pictures quickly, but the Diplomat looks to be in better condition.

I noted body damage on the Endeavor on the lower front passenger corner and also it looks like something is wrong with the generator slide as the front door is not flush and it sits crooked.

Lots that we can't see via a few pictures, though.

Pre 2000 Beaver coaches were built well and may work with your price area. We purchased a 2001 Beaver 6 years ago with low mileage and great condition for 60+. But now 30-35K may get you one.

I do not have to search RVtrader to know you need to come up with $4K more and buy the "2004 Holiday Rambler Endeavor that we really like but it is closer to 34k." Even if it needs tires that's a really good deal...check the date codes on the tires, especially if it's been sitting and the tires are more than 5 years old they need replacing. It's on the good handling RR8R chassis without trailing arms. Search RR8R.
I just sold my 04 Dynasty (to my son-in-law) with lots of years of use left in it. 04=06 were good years for the engines and Monaco/HR...all one company at that point.

I remember hearing good things about the NationalRV "Tradewinds".

The Holiday Ramblers were well built. Up to some point in 2000, they were built on a Freightliner chassis, then switched to Monaco's chassis.

My 2000 Holiday Rambler Endeavor DID NOT have a 10,000 lb hitch.

Look at Beavers and Safaris. Same company (SMC) was building them in the early 2000s. Monaco bought them out in 02 or 03. You may have to go pre-2000 to stay under 30k.
