Currently looking at Phaeton 40QBH. Dealer is offering 24% off MSRP. How much better did you do on your Tiffin diesel?

MSRP = Manufactures Suggested Retail Price

If a dealer has a made up dealer price for a coach, you need to run not walk away from there.

All you have to do is to get the MSRP from the Tiffin manufacturer then shop around.

I would suggest contacting the following two dealers for comparison as they have a history of offering, and standing behind, the best deal even with a trade-in involved.

I don't have a diesel but I do have a Tiffin gas unit and we got 24 percent off retail. Plus we had a trade in which I had owned for a year and a half and they gave me what I paid for it.. 🙂

From what I've read, 25% off is common...........some get up to 30% off, but that is rare. Anything over 30% is usually an older model or for some other reason. Good Luck.

Tiffin factory provides the MSRP on all their motor homes. You do not need to rely on what dealers tell you.

That's why you gotta do your homework and know if the MSRP is reasonable and work from there.

The only thing you should care about is the difference. They can jack up the price on the new one and then on you trade to give you 50% of of suggested MSRP.That is unless you sell yours on a private sale.

Where did you find the msrp?
Dealers used to be able to specify what MSRP they wanted on the rig. There is no standard MSRP so what one dealer may clam as a $250,000 MSRP may only be a $235,000 MSRP at a different dealer.
So first dealer give 24% off or $60,000 leaving $190,000 balance
Second dealer gives 24% off or $56,400 leaving a balance of %178,600.
So it will be hard to compare
