This is the first time I've heard of something like this at Camping World.
I don't mean to be critical, but have you been on this forum for any length of time? There are complaints about CW's practices almost every day.
OMG. :S

I was going to order 4 custom sized window awnings from Camping World in Oregon for my motorhome. The sales people at CW wanted about $1800 plus $530 shipping.
I have since ordered them from the CW web site and paid about $1200 with free shipping. Some one there must be trying to take advantage of the customers that shop there.
Those guys (CW) are thieves, plain and simple. My Kwikee steps electric motor died on me. So I took it up to CW and in fact they verified that that was the problem. They gave me an appointment 2 weeks out, said they'd order the part and install it, ALL this for the Glorious price of $648. I said:"Oh....OK"
At home I jumped on the internet, watched 4 videos on You tube, Ordered the part (the motor) plus the Linkage/gear assembly, He-- might as well change out the WHOLE unit while I was at it. I paid $183. Got it in the mail 5 days later and installed it. 15 min to uninstall it and 25 min to put in the new part(s) motor+Linkage/gear assembly. Now, I paid $183, but as a business they most likely pay 1/2 that. So they were gonna get me for close to $530. The poor guy installing it at CW would have gotten his meager $12-20 an hr and it would have taken him 30 min to do the whole job (not 45 like me with no experience.) Well all I can say is in the end I saved Over $450. And CW...well they got the bird and a prayer that they go bankrupt real soon. LOL

Many retailers have different online prices than store prices. Not uncommon. May retailers also have things available online that are not available in the stores and the stores cannot order the items either.
