We did it. Next week we'll pick up our 2008 Allegro Bus 40QSP..
It's a biggie. We decided to go for big rather than working our way through smaller units. After 4 tent trailers, one travel trailer and 2 5ers,this will be yet another new experience.
Luckily, not too different from driving a firetruck according to DH. Now, I haven't gotten behind the wheel yet, but it looks lots more daunting than the 5er.
Soon, we are planning to travel more - venture out across the nation and simply wander.
And he decided the DP was what he wanted.
There's lots of new stuff to learn... LOTS...
So, if we have questions, you all have great advice..

thanks in advance

If you haven't logged on to www.tiffinrvnetwork yet you might want to. There is a wealth of information on all things Tiffin and more. Web site is run by Tiffin owners and the company has no involvement. Great site.

We're delayed another week. Having the dealer check each and every recall and he found one from spartan that needs to be addressed.
Hard to wait, but this is the time to make sure everything is taken care of...

No enclosed trailer... We have an open trailer for both the rzr and the 2-up. The tentative plan is to tow the duelly with one of the atvs in the bed... or now towing and just driving.

But that's mainly when we winter in AZ.
When we travel cross country, probably leave the atvs at home and tow something yet to be determined.

We'll work on it. First... getting familiar with the beast will be the task.

Congrats again to you and Steve...

If your Allegro Bus has a Spartan chassis, it has a lot in common with firetrucks as Spartan makes those chassis too.

You will love it and never want to look back to what you had before. But don't believe there is nothing new to learn, as a DP and systems are far different than a Fiver. More features and systems, etc. Enjoy

Oh you are gonna LOVE it! And it wont be difficult to drive, maneuver, or park. You'll get used to it. The hardest part will be making sure the direction giver does their job right! Congratulations!

Easy to drive since it doesn't break in the center. Plus even at 40 feet it's probably smaller in length then the fifth wheel. Between the two giant mirrors, rear view camera and the high seat position you'll have an excellent view all around. Backing is even easier since the back end goes where you point it, not the other way.

Congratulations of the purchase. Good luck, have fun and post some pictures of the new coach.

Welcome to our world guys. Believe it or not, there is NOTHING new to learn, other than the driving a 40' straight truck instead of a tractor trailer. It is an RV just like your 5er and has all the same components. You can still park in the desert in Quartzsite plus when you stop for a break, you do not have to go outside to get to anything.....Love it.

Congrats on your Allegro!
You know the basics of RVing. But, if possible, I would camp in your yard or driveway. It's always nicer to learn the systems while at home. If not, go to a local campground for a night.
You're going to love your Class A.
Enjoy your travels.
