finding the perfect RV resort

Good morning. Peggy and I are in NH and are planning to store our motor coach in The Great Outdoor Resort in Titusville, FL for the winter. I discovered it at the rally in Syracuse. It looks great (large for sure) but we are looking for similar resorts in the country, do any of you have recommendations about 4-5 star resorts in other parts of the country?

We go to Palm Desert every winter (not yet by RV) but plan to when I retire. I am currently in a campground for the weekend in NH and it is large, mostly tents and trailers (we could be the only Class-A) and while sounding like a snob, I feel compelled to ask, where are the folks like us?

Mount Olive Shores North is an RV community with everything from RV pad to large RV Port homes. We have quite a few seasonal visitors during the winter season and lots can be purchased or rented. We chose to purchase ours 2 years ago and have never regretted the decision. Other parks that come to mind are

- Deer Creek, Davenport, FL
- The Great Outdoors, Titusville, FL
- Outdoor Resorts, Port St Lucie, FL
- Outdoor Resorts, Lake Toxaway, NC
- Bella Terra, Foley, AL

I'm sure there are many, many more that others will recommend that you would enjoy as well.

Haven't seen many perfect ones, seen a lot of different ones. And some folks like them so well they stay there year round. Happy-camping

Newport Dunes is just ok IMO. Ocean Mesa in Santa Barbara, CA is much nicer IMO. Also, Wine Country RV Resort in Paso Robles, CA. Campland in San Diego, CA is really expensive but awesome. None of these are Class A only but are very nice. You know, some people that RV can't afford RV parks. Would that make nearly everyone here that stays at a RV park a snob too? I say, stay where you want to stay. There's only one rule and that's to have fun.

Generally speaking, those with larger Class A's have been down a road or two - and are looking for kindred spirits (no brats, toys, loud music, drinking parties, etc)
You know, we who enjoy nice background music by Bach or Beethoven along with a nice white wine served in crystal in the evening...
One could hardly classify such preferences as being 'snobbish'. :C

Agreed. The Motorcoach Country Club in Indio is the finest I have ever seen. Truly incredible.

If you go to Palm desert you need to go to Indio Ca. Right next door and stay at the motorcoach country club

Personally i like the tent crowd, they are more like me. That said, we like Knights key resort in Marathon, Fl. My Infinity is the cheapest MH in the place tho...

Not snobbish to want an upscale experience. There are many upscale RV resorts that cater primarily to Class A's. They charge a premium price for a premium experience. Those who don't care to or can't afford these places don't have to have an inferiority complex about it, but neither do those who prefer this type of place.

Oops....my apologies...just doing research.....have enjoyed 13 weekends n a row, grew up in Maine and am comfortable with my roots.
