Its a 1995 Dometic frig. I have it on gas now to see how it does. Its looks like it ok on gas. I will check the temp in a hour. It may be the circuit board but not sure.
We don't travel as much as we use to. I guess we are getting old.I want to go out west one more time.

First item: Check for AC voltage at the outlet the fridge is plugged into. It could be something as simple as a GFI popped. Get one of these and keep it in the RV.

So other than swapping to electric from propane have you checked any of the suggestions for WHY electric doesn't work?
Is it time for your medication or mine?

The frig works very well on gas. Last night I switch over to electric and this morning the ice trays were melted and not cold.

How long did you wait for it to cool on electric? An hour or two is not long enough. You will more than likely need to wait pretty close to 12-24 hours. Propane will cool it faster.

Cools on propane but doesn't on electric....

Check for 120V AC at outlet fridge plugs into
Check 5A fuse on lower control module......it is for electric heater
Unplug electric heat element.......check resistance approx. 44 ohms

1994 vintage...probably needs new element (and fuse)

Make sure the outlet at the back has 120V coming out of it.

Or something as simple as a bad heating element. Put it on elec and see if the element heats up or has voltage.
