Heated Floors

Do all MHs with the hot water heat systems have heated floors, or is that just a unique feature on some brands? I've heard them talked about but don't see them advertised in the features very much.

We also have the pads under the floor but we did it ourselves when it was time for a reno. If you are having the coach built consider asking the builder to do the install as an alternative to the hydronic heat. Nice on the feet.

Beautiful floor by the way!

Thanks. Probably the biggest part of the job was getting all the freakin staples out of the floor. Other than that it was just slow and steady going. We are happy with how it turned out.

Thanks Rick, it was your last post that inspired me to look for heated floors :), then one of the salesman mentioned on a Entegra and the wife overheard, and....well, now you know how that goes - it's a must have ๐Ÿ™‚

Not exactly sure how mine are heated, I'll look it up Brad. But they are nice when getting out of bed :B Tile floors get pretty cold. We haven't even tried either furnace as of yet. And that was in Yellowstone in Sept.
IIRC it was a $4k option. Between the floors and fireplace it stayed comfortable. But we like it on the cold side.

On edit: didn't think about until after I posted, they are electric :S

Thanks all, didn't even know some were electric. When looking at used it's hard to tell sometimes, but so far I've been able to gut the build sheet on all of them through the Dealer.

So far the one's I've looked at had Aqua Hot, all diesel but one that was propane (Entegra Aspire). The Aspire did have floor heat from the Aqua Hot but the others are vague about it so I assume now they do not, nor did I see options for floor heat pads.

Same here. I think most are electric, not hot water.

Our Allure has Aqua Hot for heat and hot water and also has electric grids under the tile floor for floor heat. It is really nice to step onto that warm tile when it is cold outside, especially in the bath area.

Some Country Coach Affinitys had electric floor heat since 2000. By 2002 most Affinitys and many Magnas had floor heat. by 2005 CC started to put floor heat in Allures, and just about all Intrigues, Magnas and Affinitys had floor heat after 2005. Floor heat works great!

Some of the Gulf Stream TourMaster coaches have what is called Aqua Hot. I believe they use diesel according to one member in our club.

No , all models with hydronic heat , aqua hot etc, do not have heated floors. So if your looking at a model used or new with hydronic heat ( radiators throughout the coach ) not all have floor heating it's a option on some standard on a few. Floor heat can be hydronic but electric is pretty popular. At least that's what we found when we were looking
