Hi, we are looking to sell our motor home. Besides RVT and RVTrader, do you know any other good places to get exposure?
Thanks

One issue you have is being a full-timer which may complicate things a little. Are you staying in one place for a while to be able to advertise it? You're going to have to let people come to the RV park and to take it out on test drives. Are you buying another? What will you do if the first sells and you don't have another one bought already to move your things into it?

Going the consignment route you could buy the new RV, transfer all your belongings to it leisurely, and then drive the old one to consignment leaving the new one in a RV park or put it in storage for a week or so.

I sold my TT on Craigslist in 3 days for full asking price. I literally had people lining up to buy it.

Make sure it's clean, price it right, and be honest with the prospective buyers. If it has any warts point them out. It will sell, the economy is pretty strong lately.
There are 24 hours in every day - it all depends on how you choose to use them.

I've sold two QUICKLY on Craigslist. One to the first person to look at it and the second one to the second person to look at it.
Sure there are some BS responses but they are easy to weed out.
Just describe everything your coach has, including any extras that come with the sale. Put in a lot of HIGH QUALITY photos of it. I believe that you are allowed 24 pictures in most areas. Use all 24.
Make sure that it is spotless and that all odors have been removed.

Bought 2 and sold one on CL. Just read up on the scams. Anyone on an offshore drilling rig who wants to buy "the unit" sight unseen at full asking price for their father and only deals through PayPal is a phony. Don't even reply.

Too bad I'm not in the market. The Patriot is a nice coach. You would probably do better at PPL.

I used CList - put it on a Sunday and it was sold 3? days later. No dramas, no losers, no hard luck stories.......

Clean it inside and out, get rid of any personal effects, fix as many defects as possible, clean it again. Take plenty of photos and price it reasonably.

Overall a pleasant experience.

We took ours to PPL Consignment in Houston, TX and it sold in a month. Super easy and we got the price we put on it. It's certainly easier than dealing with many phone calls, appointment set ups and no shows. You have a quality motorhome and I'm sure it would sell fast. If you have maintenance files that helps.

Here's another good place for quality motorhomes:

I used RVT and sold quickly in late 2016. Took lots of quality photos and gave a detailed description. Had a bunch of RV dealers offering me ridiculous lowball prices. Showed it to a few people but had a bunch of online lookers and email inquiries. I offered a test drive to those who came to see and gave them a chance behind the wheel. Offered to permit inspection. In the end the actual buyer declined the chance to bring their own inspector. Had our toad in the description and sold it along with the RV. Lots of extras too. Got very close to asking price.

Consignment lots charge 10% for their service, or at least the big ones do.

I like consignment lots. We have one on the main drag in town. I sold a Nash trailer in 3 days and got my asking price.

I also have had great success with CL. Take quality pictures and take the time to list an informative description. Summer of 2015 I listed my coach on CL & RV Trader. I could have saved the $75 for RV Trader as it sold on CL. Yes you probably will get contacted by scammers should you list it on CL you just have to be smarter.

Bad thing about Craiglist is you get a bunch of marketeers calling and offering to sell it on 20 different sites for $189.00 or some other price. I've had a travel trailer on there 3 days now and got about a dozen calls from these supposed RV marketing guru's that can sell it. Even though my ad says DO NOT SOLICIT ME.
