When I see a PA for sale at RV dealers I always check it out for price and any mods. I recently saw a great idea. On the 04 37C there is a dead space above the refrig. Someone had popped out the thin filler piece above the refrig and put in a fold down cabinet door made of cherry using comparable hardware. This gives access to a space 35" wide by 26" deep and 5 1/2" high. The bottom of this space has a structural grid of 3/4" wood. A thin piece of luann plywood can be installed to give a smooth "floor". A number of plastic storage bins can then be used to hold all kinds of "stuff". Just need to install a positive catch to ensure stuff doesn't slide out on sharp turns.

On the amber lens, I just went to the local RV shop and found it in a bin. You could also search online.

Jim – I had the same ‘latch’ break. I went to our local dealer & they ordered me one from Fleetwood.

I have an issue that I need to resolve. The amber lens cover for the porch light has faded & is becoming brittle. Yes, we store our MH outside. A few years ago, when this happened, we were able to order ‘just’ the replacement lens. Now, I’m told that they are no longer available & I would have to buy the complete light fixture in order to get the lens cover.

We also have used MH all winter & the main reason we don’t winterize. We’ve made 2 trips in Nov.; 2 in Dec.; 1 in Jan.; 1 in Feb. & have one planned this month. Then, we have to put other travel plans on hold for ‘hopefully’ a very short time while DH recovers from radical prostatectomy (Prostate Cancer). It’s in the early stage & contained within the prostate. The outcome is promising!!
Keep us in your prayers!!

Thanks, I'll certainly give that route a shot!
I'm in the same situation with the lense. I had to replace the bulb a few weeks ago, and found that the lense has started to decay on the very top, right where it would be the hotest, and have the most moisture dripping on it...lol
Seems silly that we'd have to buy the fixture just to get a $.15 lense.
I took a different approach to winterizing this year. I think I posted it elsewhere, but essentially, I drained my fresh water tank, and then disconnected the pump from it. I placed a 38gal clear plastic tote like you see in wally world or lowes in the belly pan to the left of the stairs, where my pump is located. I then ran a piece of hose into the "tub", and put about 10gals of rv antifreeze in the tub. Bypassed the water heater, and then winterized as normal, opening all the taps until they flowed pink.
When that was done, I added about 10gals of water to the tote, and we continue to use it to flush the toilet with. This has the advantage of also pumping antifreeze into the black tank every time we flush, so no worries about freezing up. Each time I replenish the tote, I do it with about a 50/50 mix, and it's held up fine.

Good luck with the recovery!...medicine has made some very significant advancements in this area, and I'm glad it was discovered early!

I'm still looking for the part of the door handle that locks the screen door in place. It has the little lever that latches over the edge of the screen door so the two doors travel together. I had an internal piece break off, and now I can't find a replacement.

Paul, I think these are the guys that make the handles on our coaches.
They appear to be very friendly with good customer service.

We are also getting ready to head east next month. Getting oil changed and this time we are getting the rear end oil changed, it's time.

Has anyone replaced the long door handle that is mounted next to the entry door, grab bar (not sure what you call it). The long plastic handle part is still good but on each end the metal mounting brakets are looking real bad.

HELLO 🙂

It’s been ‘quiet’ so I thought I’d “BUMP” our thread. Don’t know about y’all but I’m ready for Spring – March 20th. Hope everyone’s doing well & ready to get the MHs out on the road - I am!!

We've been using ours all winter, although it's been parked in the same spot since Nov 1st. Our site doesn't have a sewer hookup, so every now and then I disconnect, pick up the feet, put in the slides, and back up 50' so I can use a sewer connection on the site that's behind me. I did that this past weekend, and was actually excited to be driving back and forth a grand total of 100'...LOL
Really got the juices flowing, the coaches AND mine! 🙂

It worked out very well. I found a TV mount at www.mountsandmore.com that the TV was easy to clip on and off the mount. The cabinet side was real wood (sometime hard to find) and I braced behind the mount wall(only had to remove a draw to get to the back of the wall) with a 2x4 for the brace to bolt through the cabinet wall into the 2x4.

On my 37C I just removed the bedroom LCD TV from the cabinet and mounted it on the side of the cabinet in front of the Bedroom window. All the wiring needed is right there and when we travel I just pop the TV off the mount, lay it on the bed. My wife just love the new cabinet space where the TV had been after I put a cabinet door on the opening.

That's an interesting idea, Paul. Right now I have a new 37" tv that goes outside sometimes in the belly box, or sits on a tray table over the doghouse. I've been trying to figure out what to do with the old TVs, and the 37" only weighs about 25lbs, so it's pretty portable.

Spa by Oxygenics -- we purchased one about a year ago.
The best shower ever. Again, worth every penny. Nice Christmas gift too!

Cathy

We bought one a few weeks ago, but haven't had the chance to install it. We've heard so much about it!! Can't wait to try it!!

UPDATE: we finally installed the Oxygenics we purchased @ Camping World. And, I agree with Cathy...THE BEST SHOWER EVER - WORTH EVERY PENNY. DH says it's GREAT, even using the water pump.

If you have the power gear jacks, check your fluid level. Mine did not function correctly when low. If you have Atwood, I would have a tech look at them as they are electrical.

Your maybe 5+yrs out of warranty. I'd be careful with the awning you have. Too bad it was noticed sooner. Rain is the big problem because it will not dump. Good luck.

5 Year Warranty? Please let me know more! My coach just went in for the sensor/alarm problem and I'm being told 3 years, which is what they now list on the site.
I'm outside of 3, inside of 5yrs.

While there, doing the "final" brake recall. Already been in twice for temporary fix.
