I am at Myrtle Beach, SC right now and will be heading down to Florida later on. Does anyone no of paint shop where I can get my rig repainted.
If you had an older class A repainted and if you would recommend that
shop if you were satisfied with the job they did.

X2 on Mikes. My 97 was painted 2 years ago. Still looks like it rolled of the showroom floor.

Thats the same symptoms I had on the right side along with Clearcoat burning on the same side and the rear cap. Both were sanded down to base glass, reprised with fiber impregnated primer, repainted exactly as it was, and 4 coats of clear. $13k.. Pay for it now and enjoy or live with it looking like cr@p and end up losing the same $$ on resale. It looks better than new.

Thanks for the advise. I have a lot of pitting and bubbling under the paint. I also
Have cracks forming. I know it's expensive to repainted it but I have totally redone
The inside and I don,t want to buy another rig.

Just out of curiosity, how much extra would it have been to have the slide ends done - if you don't mind sharing.

I did our slide ends and it wasn't an easy job. I always wondered how much someone would charge for doing it.
There are 24 hours in every day - it all depends on how you choose to use them.

Check with Fountain RV in Lakeland, FL. They have a full service paint shop.

FWIW, I spoke to you a couple of days ago at Ocean Lakes admiring how good your Adventurer looks. While your gel coat has faded, the rest of your rig looks really nice. We had our 2002 Journey painted by Commercial Refinishers in Durham, NC in 2010. It was a 36' coach. They charged me $13,500 for decal removal, surface prep and priming, 5 base colors in the scheme I selected, and four coats of clear...Dupont Chroma Premier paint. In order to save some money, I did not have them paint the sides of the slide rooms since those areas looked new. I also kept enough white in my new color scheme so all my awning arms and other exterior hardware did not have to be repainted to match a totally different color scheme. The coach turned out wonderful.

I had my coach completely repainted in January 2015. Custom paint (our own design paint scheme) and finished off with two coats of clearcoat.
It still turns heads when we pull into a campground.
Looks beautiful and we love it.
Work was done at the business below and less than $13,000 at the time.
Feel free to PM me for any details.

I have the sister to your motorhome. I was just at Winnebago/Country Coach facility in Oregon last month getting some things done. Had a couple particular areas on my motorhome painted at a cost of about $600. I asked how much to paint the whole motorhome and they said $20-30K. So I would be curious, if you do get yours painted, how much it cost (if you are willing to share).
X-2, I was quoted $27,000.00 to have my Adventurer painted in full body paint in the USA. I was told you can get your RV painted for a 1/3 of the cost having it painted in Mexico.

He didn't mention if this is a FBP or decals and gel coat ? There is a HUGE difference between the two.

If full body, there is no amount of wax and prep that is going to fix burned clearcoat, and in fact will make the problem worse.

How bad is the exterior?
Did you consider trying the Zep/Red Max Pro Process?

After you get it ready, use the wax of your choice. Preparation is the key.
I used this process on our 96 Southwind and it did a nice job.

I believe painting your Class A will be expensive.

Sounds expensive and one must consider the impact on it's actual value or at least I would think so. I mean how bad can it be that some deep cleaning and polishing using rubbing compound, wouldn't restore it for the time being. This you could do yourself, little by little and while you're in a campground or anywhere else, for that matter.
