Can anyone recommend a RV Insurance provider? Also, feedback pertaining to this subject would be great.

Ex Military USAA, if not Erie. My advice to anyone is How much is your stuff worth if the MH burns to the ground. The insurance company will make you list everything that was in it, the age and how much it cost's to replace it. Been there done that. Take pics and store them in a bank vault. The damage was total, we got 82K.

Geico will insure and at a good price.
4 whopping cylinders on Toyota RV's. Talk about great getting good MPG. Also I have a very light foot on the pedal. I followed some MPG advice on Livingpress.com and I now get 22 MPG! Not bad for a home on wheels.

We have had good rates on all our vehicles, and class C with Progressive for six years. One claim on a vehicle that went well.

I am looking my self now. I have found there is alot of difference between insuring a trailer vs. a MH. I had a 5th wheel that was added on to my Auto policy thru AARP. When I moved to a MH I found out AARP (the hartford) does not really do MH insurance. The cost was almost double from the companies I am looking at. I have called GS and the agent gave me a quote through Progressive ins. I also have a callin to Farmers as they have my house insurance. Will be waiting to hear what they have to say.

Over the years, we've been insured by several of the companies referenced above. We have used Geico for the last 3+ years and are very happy with them and their rates. We did bundle homeowners, auto, rental properties, and business insurance to get the rates we got. Geico saved us a rather significant chunk of change.

Start by shopping with the company that covers your house and auto's. Sometimes savings can be had if all are with the same company (sometimes, not always). Then shop outside companies like Progressive, State Farm, Farmers, Nationwide, etc....

As said before always shop apples to apples. Determine what coverage you need or want and always ask for a quote based on that. Only way you will ever get a true comparison.

Never have I had a quote from Good Sam that was anywhere close to all other companies I have used. I also shop mine every two years. Seems like you get a decent price for 1-2 years then it creeps up.

It will also depend on how you use your RV. A full-timer has different insurance needs than a weekender.

Here are two companies that I have used.
Auto-Owners Insurance
Grundy Insurance
Some will write AGREED value policies and some will only write ACTUAL cash value policies.

We've never had a claim so can't really recommend anything. Safeco is our current company based on best value for us at the time. Before that we had replacement value through camping world on our 5er. That got too pricey on MH.

As said above, it's all about driving risk (age-record), zip code, and credit history along with other demographics so no two people get the same answer.

Insurance is one of those things you have to do your own research on. Every state has different requirements and rates so asking on a forum like this will give you marginal information. Start making phone calls to the big name insurance companies and find the one that gives you the coverage you want for the best price. Just make sure the prices you are comparing are for the same coverage.
