Sewer Tank Flusher

Thanks for the add. I have a 2014 Prism and it has a sewer tank flusher which I cannot get to work. When I hook the water hose to it and turn on the water, nothing happens. Water pressure builds up on the hose, but does not go into the tank. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Hi - I have a 2015 Prism, a 24J. The connection for the flush hose to the black tank is easily visualized on this model behind the drivers side rear wheels. It has a hand-tighten nut where it enters the tank. You could probably unscrew the hose from the tank (I haven't done that...) and see if water makes it thru the hose. then you would know where the issue is... ST

I had the flusher check valve installed backward!! National RV couldn't solve the problem but I finally figured it out.

Advice. Spelling helps too.

Could the rinse tank entry and the water tank filler be mislabeled and you are connecting to the wrong spout? Try switching it.

There should be a check valve just inside where the hose hooks up to prevent dirty water from getting back into the campground source. It is usually a cheap plastic thing that can get clogged. I had to get mine replaced early on.

Welcome. It is not uncommon for them to plug up on the ends. You may need to remove it from the tank to clean. Many then drill the holes out just a tad.
