Warning Triangles

How many of you carry a Triangle Warning kit of 3 warning triangles, and 1/2 a dozen safety flares? Commercial trucks are required to carry these and figure it's a good idea to carry same in our MH.

I guess mine (LED) are different.....they're really bright both day and night. Unless you're carrying a box of flares or the police show up in the first 15 minutes, you're going to run out of flares.

One triangle, a couple of LED road flashers, and a box of flares (probably 24) wrapped and stored in various accessible locations.

I carry the triangles because in CA it is required by law for all vehicles over 80" in width. My boat trailer and 5ver are 100" wide. Take a look at 25300 CA vehicle code. It might be federal law for interstate travel?

We have the warning triangles still boxed. Heavy suckers. No flares.

They came handy when we had a wood stove. I carry them in the RV.

The only problem with the LED "flares" is that there is apparently no standard that is set that says how bright they need to be to be seen during the day and at a distance at night.
Most that I have seen are made in China and cannot be seen during a sunny day. They are no where near as bright as the emergency lights on a police or rescue vehicle. At night, some are passable, but still not very bright.
I guess when it comes to safety, there should be some minimum standard as to brightness and right now, the cheap LED emergency lights do not offer much protection.

We keep them onboard, especially the flares. How are you supposed to start the camp fires without flares?
