What year did slide rooms become available in Winnebago diesel motorhomes?

In for sale pics I see a parking brake air valve - do the diesels have air brakes or some form of hybrid system?

Sorry I didn't mean to offend anyone. I did have fun looking up what esoteric meant. ?? I was hoping for some owner input from someone experienced with 90's era motorhomes. I have since found the which models had slides info on Winnebago's excellent website.

I am looking to purchase an older MH built by a company still in business. Vectra type Winnebago's look interesting and there isn't one just handy distance wise to me to look at.

I didn't understand your question part 2. I wondered if "esoteric" referred to a piece of motorhome hardware (as in: does your rig have the 12volt esoteric?) or is it just another snarky rv.net comment/question... so I looked up the word:

"esยทoยทterยทic adjective \?e-s?-?ter-ik, -?te-rik\

: only taught to or understood by members of a special group : hard to understand

: limited to a small number of people"

So now I know what the heck "esoteric" means, the answer to your question is no.

How dare you expect a simple answer to a simple question. You think this is a forum for information or something? Only the highly educated may ask for answers here. This forum was not always like this. I blame the moderators for allowing the high and mighty all knowing so and so's to blurt out answers like that.
here, here x2

I googled Winnebago Slide Outs and, I got a Winnebago page that said 1995 was the first year that they introduced a slide out.

fwiw, this class A forum is a total dream compared to some others on the board. Read a couple posts over in the "Tow Vehicles" section if you really want to appreciate this section.

And I actually think the moderators on all parts of this board do an amazing job and policing things. If anything I'd say it's almost too much supervision and thread closing. Many other message boards I've hung out at over the year in other topics have little to no moderating and things get heated but also have a way of working themselves out. People eventually get tired of throwing mud across cyberspace and move on.

Newmar was the first to have a slide in their production motorhomes in 1990. They have the most experience with slides. You might consider one of those also for a quality MH.

In general the Class A diesel pushers have air suspension and air brakes. Some manufacturers have produced low-end models with spring suspension and hydraulic brakes in the past, but I don't believe that Winnebago has.

I am thinking the first year for the Vectra was 2004.
