Where to find good prices on 22.5 Tires

All six of the tires are weathered. Although the shop said they are road worthy I don't want to push my luck too long so I have heard that Domestic tires are about 500-600 a piece installed and Import tires are about 300. I heard truckers use the imports and say they don't last as long but are decent tires for the price. What about their use on motorhomes? Where do you find good deals on tires?

Mitchlin has a discount plan if you are a member of FMCA.. Go to the FMCA web site for more info... THe other brand the tire is just a little bit.. Smaller Not sure of the weight rating .

I will have 4 Goodyear G661 265/75/22.5 tires available in September. Getting new RV and will be swapping the drive tires. Estimate they will have about 2,000 road miles on them when they come off (most moving the chassis from the factory). Will make a good deal on them if Goodyear doesn't give me a reasonable credit.

First on 22.5's you only have two choices. MIchelin and I think it is Tyro or something like that (Toyo found the name in another post)

Michelin has a discount plan if you are a member of FMCA.. Go to the FMCA web site for more info... THe other brand the tire is just a little bit.. Smaller Not sure of the weight rating .

Look at AMAZON online for your size and maybe in a HERCULES, which is my preference for the money. Also CONTINENTAL is popular.
Then find yourself a local shop, to put them on for you. Computer balance the front steers and don't worry about the rest. Hare to beat the price, but you can always shop around.

I bought six Sumitomo's (old Dunlop) 245/75/22.5 last summer for my rig $2400. complete. OEM Michelin's sidewalls cracked and one zippered on me with 18,000 miles and 6 years old. Michelin was willing to rebate me 45% off retail price but I still would've paid sales tax, 8.75% in WNY, on the full amount. Plus I would've had to wait how long to see my money. With the rebate the Michelin's would of been $150 cheaper but I didn't want to reward them with my business for creating such a crappy tire to begin with. Interesting they did not recall the RV tires but from similar build years they were doing full recalls and replacement for many commercial truck sizes. Guess they didn't want to risk losing that market.

As it sounds like price is of concern - think about the fact that;

Here are the five states that don't have a sales tax:
Alaska.
Delaware.
Montana.
New Hampshire.
Oregon.

And that savings can be a nice chunk when you are in the $2,500 - $4,000 range on cost (Because we live in Maryland and can buy in Delaware ($150-$240) will buy a nice dinner at the shore.

As this could be a nice way to tie into a Vacation, as all the locations are great to visit.

Just a thought.

I'd look into what Ivy has advised as he has done a significant amount of research on TIRES.

Check B F Goodrich. We bought ST230's load range H at the recommendation of a tire guy in TX that put tires on Prevost coaches. Owned by Michelin but cheaper prices. They are made in the USA. We were happy with them. They are not the cheapest but wear well and ride OK. We splurged this time and bought Michelins thru the FMCA program and they do ride better but worth the price?? DH thinks so. Me, not so much.

Check with your local truck tire shop. I bought Bridgestones locally for $400/each out the door, mount and balance included. They also took my old tires in trade knocking that price down even more.

I looked around on-line and couldn't find a better deal than the local guys offered.

These were 11R/22.5s.
