Breakfast Ideas For RV?

A lot of my camping is done close to home so 95% of the time I simply commute to work from the campground. On those mornings I'll simply have a bowl of cereal, donut, granola bar. Something quick and easy. When I have an off day while camping I enjoy some scrambled eggs, sauage, bacon, hash. Not all of these things at once though. lol

I'm looking for other alternatives for breakfast. Anything interesting? We have campers so we're not really limited.

Walmart has some very good sausage patties in a bag in the freezer section that take 1 minute to cook in the microwave. They also have "real" scrambled eggs that are round patties - also microwave. We toast an english muffin , use an egg pattie, sausage pattie and slice of cheese and you have a sausage mcmuffin sandwich - substitute thin sliced ham or canadian bacon and you have an egg mcmuffin type sandwich - or put it on a croissant. Quick and easy and will keep you going. We like these on travel days. Best part - no dirty dishes!

Egg "muffins"

These are really good and store well in refrigerator for several days. You can pop in microwave for about 20 seconds. They are like mini omelets and you can put whatever you want in them.

Our grocer carries Hormel, I think that's the brand, but it's called dried beef. I think it's probably made from Kobe beef, at least its priced like it.

Any leftover meat, combined with scrambled egg, shredded cheese, and whichever sauce you enjoy for breakfast burritos.

I just bought some Armour Star dried beef last year. Have they quit making it? I hope not. May have to get out my dehydrator if it's not available anymore.

The breakfast of Marines is SOS - S*** on a Shingle aka Chipped Beef on Toast - it's the stuff of legends and the breakfast of heroes. Mess cooks will tell you it's always made with flour, butter, whole milk or diluted canned milk, and chipped or dried beef. Sometimes sautéed onion but absolutely NO OTHER VEGETABLE IS PERMITTED.

Equal amounts of flour and butter. Cook in the pan and slowly pour in the milk to make the gravy. Add the chipped beef to warm it. Serve over slightly burnt toast (the shingle).

I served in the late 50's and we ate at a mess hall that was feeding almost double capacity. Our SOS was made with ground beef and the chances of avoiding diarrhea were slim.
I like the chipped beef made at home, but I can't bring myself to make it with ground beef.

I agree!! Leftover Chinese is my favorite for breakfast. Also like cold, leftover steak or chicken sliced thin alongside toast made from last night's dinner rolls or French bread. Warmed up Apple pie and cheddar is good, too.
