Auxiliary satellite input connections?

I have the King tailgater factory installed on the roof with auxiliary inputs for a portable unit in the wet bay. When my roof satellite is blocked by an obstruction and I hookup my portable King satellite to the auxiliary inputs, it seems to default to the roof mounted unit. King told me I would have to have a separate cable to the Wally for the auxiliary to work. I know you can't use a splitter but surely the factory would not have wired the auxiliary if it wouldn't work.

The factory nor King have any suggestions. Any thoughts or ideas from this forum? Thanks!

You MUST change the input going into the back of the receiver in some manner. The cable from the rooftop antenna must be removed and replaced by the cable coming from the ground connection. As mentioned above, a good quality, high isolation A/B switch can handle this job as well. Additionally, be sure you are not trying to use the outside Cable Input connection as that is not meant to be used for satellite. That connection "might" be able to be modified for that purpose but it will not work as factory wired.
What I post is my 2 cents and nothing more. Please don't read anything into my post that's not there. If you disagree, that's OK.
Can't we all just get along?

Most of us use an A/B Switch to enable switching between two satellite feeds with the push of a button.

My MH has an auxiliary outlet in a rear bay for satellite use and a fixed dish on the roof. When I use a portable, I have to switch feed wires in an overhead compartment to change from one to the other. I don't think there's anyway to make something like that work without physically swapping a wire.
