Alid how did you put your power supply line to the Jeep. I have heard about a one-way diode or something on that order that only lets power go from the MH to Jeep. Have looked all over and can't seem to get anything on this. Hate to crash this post but looking for imfo. Jim

Just follow the instructions in the Owners Manual.
No, the odometer should not accumulate miles, IF you place the ignition switch in the correct position!

When towing does the odometer record mileage?

We towed our 2004 Jeep Liberty for 10 years and 70,000 miles, including Alaska. It's a great car and we still have it as our second.

Just make sure you turn off the engine BEFORE you move the transmission to Park. Trust me, I did this once in error and will never forget the terrible noise it made.

We have the exact Jeep. No problems towing. There isn't a locking steering wheel so that's not an issue. It's very easy to get tow ready.
We use a "surge brake" style system with the Elite Ready Brake....
Love the system.

I towed a 2002 jeep liberty for 11 years and about 100,000 miles. Follow owners manual for towing 4 down, rogerjhoffman has it down, and never had a problem. Longest I left it hooked up without running the engine was 5 days over a portion of our trip to Alaska and never ran the battery down. It also had been driven well over 100,000 and I would still have it had it not been for things just falling apart from use and age.

Should not be a problem. I had a 2002 Liberty 4x4 that we towed on all four.
According to my jeep manual, hook the jeep up to the tow bars.
leave the jeep running, shift into neutral then put tranfer box into neutral.
turn ignition to off position, not locked position.
shift transmission into park.

you are ready to tow.

Make sure that the steering is unlocked and you should use an auxiliary braking system. Be sure add a charge line from the coach or your battery will go dead on long hauls.
I also use a Roadmaster Defender to keep the stone chips from road debris. It works great and has held up well to usage.
