A Sheety Problem

Mattresses squeezed between walls make it very difficult for many of us to change sheets without pulling the mattress down a foot or two. If you've upgraded to memory foam or air mattresses, it's nearly impossible to move them. Not wanting to complain without offering a solution, I hereby issue an order that all RV interior designers must spend one day per model changing the sheets on their pride and joy! :B

X however many it takes for someone to listen. I cuss out the trailer designers every single time I have to make the bed. Double cussing comes in when I have to change the sheets. I am so tired of being hit in the middle of my back by the so-called closet that doesn't reach the floor and takes up space but doesn't' hold very much.

And yes, my husband says he will help me every time I start cussing. So far that help doesn't amount to a hill of beans. He definitely has heard a few choice words coming from my direction on laundry day, though.

Simple solution, just give the executive order to the wife to make the bed and you go outside and hold down the hammock. :B Of course don't tell my wife I said that...:E

Won't happen. To you your rig may be your pride and joy but to the manufacturer it's just another product coming off the production line they want to sell as quickly as possible so they can move on to the next ... has nothing to do with how the product is actually used. Fact is, hardly anyone from the manufacturer to the dealer actually camps and if they weren't selling trailers they'd be selling washing machines or whatever. 😞

Correct, price seems to have no bearing on the problem. We went to an RV show in the Springs Saturday and I found a $230,000 rig with many el cheapo features including a crammed in queen size, not even capable of an optional king. I wish I had noted the brand.

Right on. My wife and I wholeheartedly agree. The problem isn't confined to "low end" RVs either.

Here! Here! Yes, we too have to pull our king size memory foam mattress down, or slide it down to get the sheets on. Wouldn't trade it though. We sleep better on it than in the house.
