Sad, sad news.

This past week Ann and her newly found traveling companion were ut looking at new RV"s, when he had a massive heart attack and passed away.
Ann is obviously devastated. She feels responsible. If not for all this excitement about a new adventure he may still be here. We told her it wasn't. We are trying to support her the best we can.

That`s terrible! Is this the same person who was looking for someone to travel the country with a few months ago?

Whose age? Ann is 57; don't know how old the guy was but am kind of wondering now.

Thanks everyone for your kind thoughts. I think it will be a while before Ann thinks about doing this trip. I agree that she should come with us when she is ready.

I went back and read the entire Ann saga and I have to say it was a longshot it would work out well to begin with. Maybe some things are just not meant to be. I feel bad for her and I am sure it is emotionally draining.I still think she would be better off travelling with you on a long trip to satisfy her desire to see the land.

Very sad news but in looking for the silver lining, how much worst would it have been for them to be alone up in the mountains when he passed leaving Ann to deal with it alone. I'm sure her guilt then would have been even greater.
When my Charlotte passed away it was very suddenly and unexpectedly also and we had returned only the previous week from a month long trip where we spent a lot of time in the back country (where we both love it). Had her death occurred while we were away from speedy help I KNOW I would have felt that guilt and I know just as well that Charlotte would have told me it was much better to have something to be excited about than to have lived a boring life.
Ann has my sympathies as I DO know what she must be feeling.

Very sorry to hear that. There is no way it could be her fault.

Oh no! At least he died happy with a great adventure in sight. Not so great for Ann, though.

Darn. Keep us posted. Wish I knew a nice guy who could step in.
