Goducks has the real answer. My spouse is pretty good at directing me.
I'll look into the Garmin 770 series.
We used a relative's Lincoln MKC while in Florida, and it's GPS took us 40 miles out of the way because of the toll roads. I knew the thing was routing us a different way, but just blindly went along until it was too late.
Thanks to all----can't wait until the trailer comes out of the side yard, and we can meet all of you again.

Iโd take a look at the Garmin RV 770. Nice big screen, plenty of features, and you can update it over WiFi... No computer required. I donโt trust Google maps as the last time I tried, it still didnโt find my house.
I have the smaller 660RV. It's nice but a GPS isn't the last word in trip planning.

Two things to consider on smartphone/iPhone apps.
1. If you lost cell phone signal you do not have real time data.
2. When using map apps, unless you have a unlimited data plan, you are being charged for data usage.
I have been told you can download the route, but I prefer a Garmin 760LMT
1) You don't have real time data with a dedicated GPS either in that case...or when you are in cell range.

But doesn't WAZE require real time data from people who are supposed to be driving their cars? I don't think that's such a great idea. Not a lot of difference between texting, and entering traffic conditions while driving.

I can tell you what the worst one is. The one that came built in my 2015 Chevy Silverado. Itโs so bad itโs a joke now.
