Camping Lights

Can someone explain the fascination with lights on an RV to look like a Christmas tree?? I'm seeing more and more with front cap lights on, under body lights, lights in tree around camp, rope lights on the ground, lights from the awnings, porch lights on. Last week saw one with all the running & tail lights on all night. I know I can't be the only one sees this as annoying.

Why we always camp primitive and no lights on our RV outside when parked. I have a nice LED flashlight if I need to see.

Personally, I believe those with all the lights on are scared of the bogeyman.

Boogyman has no place in my camp site! We are Happy and camping,, we do not follow a food diet nor do we have a curfew! No booze is too much booze.
When you pull into a campground and all the neighbors are within twenty feet of each other. The Boogyman aint comin to get you because of the noise, population and lights!
Thats it in a nut shell!
If I go to a Boondock spot to camp, and my lights bother you,,,Boondock further away cause sites are not assigned and your camper has wheels!
We camp in the Desert a few times a year, we camp in open camp spaces on a huge beach also. Nothing assigned.
If I get next to a rowdy bunch and I don't like it,,,Guess what??
My wheels are turning the next day or even within the hour!

Where the heck do you Crampers cramp where you expect your twenty foot away neighbors to STOP enjoying themselves because you are a Cramper tight wad?

Hell I can here conversations in the trailers/motor homes from the campers on both sides of me,,I don't blow a gasket, Its camping!

You want a five star regulated camping experience?? Don't camp where I camp, cause I camp in the Fun Zone!
I guess because I don't work out of a cubical i don't live life out of a cubical!
Good lord,, Enjoy what you have and who you are with. "LET IT GOOOOO"

Some of you tight wads need to rename your hobby to Cramping! Why should i let your cold dark cramping seep onto my warm Festive site?
If I want dark and cold I'd camp in a cemetery. But I choose to camp with others,, and like a box of chocolates,,,,you never know what your going to get!
Here's news people,, aint changing my life style to match yours,,Get over it!

if the lights bother you PULL THE SHADES down and do what ever you do in the dark. i'm going to install some led lights BRIGHT ONES under the outer edge of my awning. so I can set outside in the evening and breath the fresh air and do something. we camp with the B/L sometimes and like to play cards, read, put a puzzle together, or just b/s its a lot more fun if you can see what your doing. about the football games, I have a big flat screen tv that I can mount outside. we were camping at a privet campground and a Duck game was on. we had 23 other campers setting on one side of the camper watching the game didn't here any complaints.

Ah yes, it's all about the "ME". Heck, why should a person ever be considerate of other people?

While I am another one that prefers dark, I think those things are cool looking. It's not for me, but it seems I see one doing that about once a summer and think it is a neat effect.

Don't know about pests, but lights have a tendency to attract insects not discourage them.

I have been told that lights UNDER the rig discourage insects and other pests. How true is this???? (Frankly I have no clue).

But when I see an RVer with his SCARE lights on all night.. Oh Mr. Manager.... I need to tell you something.

Security will verify next night and knock knock Sir could you turn 'em off?)

I probably donโ€™t get out as much as some here, but while Iโ€™ve noticed a lot of variety in campsite lighting, Iโ€™ve never seen anything that actually affected me significantly. Maybe Iโ€™ve just been lucky, or tolerant, and I generally donโ€™t stay many places that pack people in like sardines. Some folks have very spartan campsites, while others seem to fill the entire space with displays, decorations, outside furniture, canopies, equipment & appliances. Lighting seems like just another aspect of that phenomenon.

You all ever been beach camping?? What about all the twirly things spinning in the wind? The festive fish spinners? I enjoy it and appreciate the joy of it!

And now with all the little solar light twirly spinning nautical theme things, Its allot of fun!

And in reality,, If it Irks you,, you have chosen the wrong Hobby! Maybe the Desert is for you? But to be honest, when we camp in the desert I have an LED flag pole topper that changes colors! It serves two maybe three purposes.
Its a camp locator when you are out on your dirt bike/quad/or side by side.
Its patriotic (red/white/blue) and its FESTIVE! AND,, It can run all night!

And if that bothers you----Don't ever camp at a NASCAR Event, Its always a FESTIVE event!

P.S. Be happy you are not my sticks and bricks neighbor, I have them in my back yard and some in the front! HA!

LOL...proves many people's points on here about consideration of others!
Or lack of same.
