First off, are you sure it worked fine last year?? Not being factious, but GM factory wired does NOT mean what you think. Their factory wired charge line means they ran the wire from the plug forward to the engine compartment, BUT did not connect it at the fuse box. This has been standard practice on the GM trucks for years. The line is setting under the fuse box in the engine compartment, on the drivers side. You must fish it out and hook it up, if you want to use the charge line. There will be a dummy fuse in the slot for the line and you will have to buy the correct 40A fuse to install, once the line is hooked.
My truck has the NHT package which is the HD Max towing package, but the charge line was not hooked up. The same was true with my 2005 GMC truck.
