This benefit is not applicable if your RV is
disabled due to mechanical failure or
breakdown unless caused by a collision.

Welp, they didn't respond via email. And ya, it does seem clear in the print, but sometimes pointing out the clarity of a statement, about it's lack of inclusivity, is a statement unto itself. So yes, I asked for clarity, though it was clear, and not oddly enough, they didn't respond.
So, no "angst" (*ahem*). Just simple forethought.
And more power to anyone who has never had a company deny what was said on the phone. I've had it happen at least 2x in my life, and I like to avoid that situation, so yes, I believe in the power of email. Once you tell a company you have an email "to that effect", you get soooo much farther than when you say "...but someone from your office said . . ."
Nevertheless, they didn't respond, as they said they would, within 2 business days. Which, in and of itself, says a lot about them.
(lastly, jeeze)

I'm looking for ERS (not a good sam fan, and AAA seems to only do reimbursements outside of your designated membership area...and seems to be offered only as an addition to already being a member via a car, which I may not have if I buy the rig I want) and going over Coach Net's plans, and the wording of the Emergency Trip Interruption benefit seems pretty clear, and thus gives me pause:

If your RV, car, truck or SUV is not useable due to a covered loss while you are more than 100 miles away from home, we’ll help pay toward lodging and meals for up to 10 days - that’s up to $1,000 for hotels, motels and meals. Plus, we’ll add $60 a day for up to 10 days - that’s up to $600 to pay for a rental car. (Note: Rental car benefit is not available on 5th Wheel and travel trailer coverage).
