I'd love to have a GM motor home, those rear airbags allowed the lowest floor of any MH, only one step.

The originals (ended production in 1978 I think) had a Tornado v8 engine & drive train.

Bob-
The 13" floor is nice (we didn't even used to have a step to put out until I trashed a knee), but it is because it is front wheel drive. The airsprings just make or a great ride and very easy leveling. A guy can sleep in the back while DW is driving.

Sayoung-
There are always nice ones for sale. Usually estate sales. Seldom because the owner traded. Good ones are not expensive, but maintenance is critical while not difficult.

The LSR coach got to 120+ but could not shift to third. An almost stock coach ran 103+ a lot of years ago.

Yes, the drive train in Toronado CASTINGS. If it is an OE trans it is a pretty stock TH425, but most have specials That are hand built by a guy in California. The base engine is closer to the pump engine version for carburetor, camshaft and pistons.
In stock trim, they will run 80 all day (they were designed before the first oil embargo and long before CAFE numbers. While she will run at those speeds, the fuel mileage really sucks when you do it.

Those GMCs will keep up with the traffic flow. They only have a 3 speed tranny so I am much happier running at 55-60 mph.

Yes, but wouldn't it be great to run with average traffic flow?

I wonder if it still has full RV interior?

No, the interior is gutted. It's on one of the pictures or videos, I don't remember which one.

Oftentimes companies donate parts and labor for vehicles to benefit charity. I don't know if it is true in the case of this MH.

This is my local community's D.A.R.E. car, everything was donated, not one cent of organization or taxpayer money;

I believe they hit 120 in 2013, and are going for faster this time. There are some videos of the 2013 run.

I think that that body style motorhome (in stock version) is still one of the sharpest looking RV's around...
