Hitch receiver and shank questions

First a little background that has me wondering how other truck receivers are setup. I've searched the web and can't find any standards except for most the shanks have the pin hole 3 inches from the inserted end.

I've noticed some differences between the receivers of my old Silverado 2500 and the Titan XD I have now. First the Chevy receiver was 6 3/4 in. long and the pin hole center was 2 3/4 in. In from the end. My Equalizer shank when inserted went all the way through to flush with the backside of the receiver tube. When hitched with WD I could move and rotate the pin.
The Titan has a receiver that's 5 3/4 in. long and the pin hole center is 1 3/4 in. in from the end. The Equalizer shank is still an inch away from being all the through the receiver with the pin inserted. With WD the pin is jammed tight and you can't move it. I'm concerned about only 4 3/4 in of the shank inserted in the tube and after only 75 miles of towing the pin hole is starting to oval towards the top slightly already.

So I'm wondering what kind of truck others have and how long is the receiver tube?
How far in from the end of the tube to the center of the pin hole?
Does your shank go all the way through the receiver tube with the pin installed?
It would helpful if you could state if it's a class IV or V hitch.

My Dodge Durango has a factory installed hitch and I also use a Equalizer WDH. The hitch depth is 7 1/2" and the hole is 2" from the front. When installed the pin holding the ball is loose until weight is put on it. Then its tight.

You would think these things would be standardized.
My Ram's receiver tube is 7.25" long and the distance from the outside edge to the center of the pin is 2.5".

FWIW, my pin hole elongated a bit in the beginning (from pulling out trees ๐Ÿต and then never got worse.
