How to stop neighboring campers from

This may sound silly, but I am currently camping and one neighbor cuts across my site while he is going and coming from his boat.

It is not that he is cutting through BUT when he does, he is within 2 feet of my camper door and within 4 feet of us sitting there talking.

I struck up a conversation with him and during this conversation asked if he would mind crossing the campsite a little further back from our camper. At that point he stormed off and said kiss my a..

Anybody have a simialr experience and if so were you able to resolve it?

When someone continually does that, I just offer them a cold beer and ask if they are interested in gay animal porn. They seem to steer clear and never make eye contact with me again.

Better hope he doesn't take you up on your offer. Or worse yet, invite you to look at his.:o

When we pay for a camp site I consider that site to be my property between the two power boxes. I've had conversations with the cut across type some not so pleasant for the other guy. Every time the results have been backed up by the campground management. Other than this everyone is welcome to come and visit.

Last summer while camping at a state park I politely asked three preteen boys to stop cutting through our campsite. They did, but one boy gave me the bird. LOL!

Problem solved. And once he moves his boat he will probably be gone off your path anyway now....that's good!

Only 1 time I was that cg site...the one parked next to the trail to the river.
Some stayed on trail, a few did not, some came right under my awning with their tubes to hit the river.

Stopped it fast. Clothesline and picnic table and truck parked just right changed their course.

WHO walks under another's awning? I just don't get that 🙂

Glad your problem is handled.

My parents taught me as I child to never cut through someone's campsite. Now that I have 2 kids, same goes for them.
Why anyone thinks it's ok to walk through someone's site without an invitation is beyond me.
I don't mind a neighbor dropping by to chat or have a beer, but there needs to be respect for other folks privacy.

she was very attractive, we had a great conversation and it was a great start to the best weekend I have had in many a year. We laughed for about 4 days straight

I normally don't fret about people cutting through our site, but once we were put into a makeshift campsite that was so close to a Kamping Kabin that kids would actually bump into our RV as they ran through - and of course THAT set our dogs into barking. I finally rearranged the picnic table so that it directed them towards the Kabin; and once their parents noticed that we had sort of barricaded them out, they said something to the kids about being nice and not cutting through our site.

To the OP - I'd turn your site into an obstacle course - at least if the interloper won't be polite, you can have a moment of entertainment from him....LOL!

No, I don't think so. He and a few others camp to FISH.

Not sport fish, bullheads for eating. Hundreds of them!!!!

He has six poles on shore that he leaves permenantly stuck in the ground. He baits them then checks back once a day.

In the boat he throws out about 10 to 15 lines with floats that he goes back for in the evening.

These folks catch these fish and fill cooler after cooler.

Believe me, these are not your typical RVers.

Well that explains his rude behaviour. Thankfully most RVers are a pleasure to be around.

Is it even legal to catch and keep that many fish?

UPDATE:

After a day of letting his ego heal, he has started passing about 10 feet from the camper - that was all I asked.

Boy, what a sensitive guy.

To top this I overheard campground host telling the guys wife that they can no longer park boat there because on nesting geese.
