I think Winter arrived

It appears a good portion of the NE United States, from Indiana all the way to Maine got hit with our truly first winter blast of the season.

We are still planning on going to Lake Bruin State Park in Louisiana, leaving Saturday morning. We did the final packing last night, got everything stowed away from all our drive-way camps, buttoned everything down, turned the heat off, and pulled the slides in.

I've been watching the weather reports very close. I absolutely do not want to get caught with slides out and ready to hitch up for the trip to have the slides all frozen over with snow and ice. So, all week, it's been slides out as we've been preparing for the trip, and slides right back in.

Well, last night it paid off.

Woke up this morning, schools canceled, and I decided to do a work-from-home and just stay off the roads completely. It's suppose to warm up to the middle 30's around 4:00 pm, so maybe this stuff will melt?

Anyway, woke up to this; I had just had to get some photos:

But, I really feel sorry for this little guy flying in all this mess:

It's threads like this that make me so glad I no longer live in the Midwest.

But do feel sorry for us here in Florida. The same cold front will affect us also.

Temps will 'dip' down into the 40's here for about 2 hours before sunrise. :C

We must be willing to get rid of the life we've planned,
so as to have the life that is waiting for us.

I KNOW winter has arrived! We have 5+ inches of snow in western NJ and itโ€™s still coming down! Camper is cozy under its cover, and Iโ€™m anxious to break out the skis!

Not in the PNW!
I went out in my kayak, in shorts, to pick up my crab pots.
Caught my limit and cooked them on the bbq burner outside.:B

That's awful. Going to get to my neck of the woods tomorrow. Low of 49 and only high of 70. Will have to put socks on with my flip flops.

HA! Dodged winter. Been in Boston on a medical trip the last four days. They seem to be going crazy prepping for this storm.

Not me. Just got off the plane a couple hours ago from Boston back to Bermuda & 70 humid degrees. Only problem is that the grass needs cutting again.

It's only global warming in the summer, the fundraiser's change out to climate change for the winter campaigns.

Does Yuck say it well. We still have a white yard in SE Michigan. Hopefully you will get a thaw before you need to put the slides out and awning and slide toppers that before moving. Have a safe trip.

Yep... I would most definitely classify that as winter. All we had over the weekend was sub-zero temps and a foot of snow.
