Thought I'd start a new topic for Gate Guards to use for comments. Like the moderator suggested-keep technical stuff, recipes, mechanical, etc. where they belong. Lets hear from everyone sucking down that caliche dust.

Something is not going to work with all the ladies getting together in the big city.Somehow I just see all the money the guys are trying to save up for the summer for necessities like bigger tv's,beer ect being spend on shoes, clothes, make up,hair done ect. :B

I will check with Nancy & Donna to see if they are going. Donna will probably see this on the forum. I went and found her rig on 1144 out of Karnes City today. There is a rig about 2 miles from us on 181 i will stop by there and get acquainted with them tomorrow if it is not raining. Glad the gate guard ladies are planning an outing. I will post later on how many i know of that are going.

Missy, i will give you a call. I am going to Kenedy today to eat with one guard lady that we worked with on our first workamping job in KY. I went to visit her and her husband yesterday. I had one lady to stop by that we met at the yard in Gonzales, about 2 weeks ago and it was really nice having a visitor. I am a long way from home and need to make some new friends.

I think it would be easier if I put my number out there 417 322 3765. Call me and I'll try to organize a lunch get together-maybe next Sunday.

We are on a Marathon gate on 1144 we just moved with them on Wed. They are great .They also had us look at this site before we moved to make sure it was ok.They company men as well as the workers have been good to us.

We have always stayed until the job was completed. Just stayed until GGS said time to move out. But we may start going with the rig.
We have not decided as of yet. It really does not matter to me. I know fracking there are a lot of sand trucks running 24 hrs. But you got to have something to keep you awake at night.

I would take another EOG gate if they pay more for 2 rigs.
Just because one company man was bad, does not mean they all are that way. I just want the extra money for all the extra work. The EOG company man told me all their gates were that busy.
So the question is; are you getting more than $125.00 per day ?

Our experience with EOG was the company man is the day to day boss but the Construction Superintendent is the one signing off on the invoices. He is the go-to guy for getting the rate increase. EOG's rate for the Barnett was:
+$50/day for every rig over one
+$50/day for frac crew if you had another rig or frac crew already on site.
+$50 for 3 workover rigs or more with one of the above present.

5 frac crews would pay $325/day

3 rigs / frac crew / 3 workover rigs = $325/day

In our case, showing 25+ pages of sign-ins for a 24 hour period was proof positive. You WILL not get the big money without earning it. It was brutal work.

So, do you follow a drilling rig? Or, do you stay for the complete well drilling, fracking, and production process?
