Investing in "EcoPro Products" Protection

We have purchased a new small TT. The dealer just called and asked if we want them to do the EcoPro Products protection. There is an exterior shield that protects painted surfaces from damage caused by road debris, stone chips, insects, etc. and a microbrepelent used to prevent minor tears, damage, stains on drapes, carpet, cargo areas and ventilation systems. The cost of this is $1,000. The guarantee is for 10 years and we have kept RV's that long. We have a car we bought used that had a similar protection done and now it is peeling and spotting.

Our RV is stored inside and kept clean. Has anyone done this? Would you recommend it. Thanks!

And if you're the type of person who is sheepish about getting your way and generally avoid conflict, real or perceived, you are the type of person salesmen LOVE.

Now go get your new TT and don't let them bully you into any ancillary ****. If you deny the "offers" you've already mentioned, they will have a half dozen more cant live without offers in their back pocket to sell you.

Thank you all!! This is exactly what we thought. I just wanted to hear from the "real pros of RVing." Our new TT is in and we have annoyed the dealer by not financing it with them, not adding this protection stuff, and not purchasing a hitch from them. We found the hitch for about half the price the dealer offered. The final annoyance will be when we go to pick it up and go over it inside, outside, under and over before taking it. When DH went to pick up our new 5th Wheel, he was in a hurry because I was home one day post surgery. He did a quick inspection, did not look under and the opening circles for wires, pipes etc were about 3 inch open circles. We did not know it until we found that mice had a super highway into the camper. He caulked all openings, evicted, and all was well, just every annoying. We will not make that mistake again.

Agree 100%. No spray on polish can protect it from rock chips, upholstery tears or wear. Most of these want you to bring it back every year for a reapplication to the tune of another couple hundred. Easy money for the dealer. Costs the about $20.00.

No I have not done it. I also would not do it. There is nothing the dealer is going to apply that will stop chips or scratches except for a spray on truck bed liner type material. The add on paint protection that dealers offer for $1000 do nothing more than line the dealers pockets with more of your money.
