leaving vents open

Being a newbie and seeing the hot weather roll in, what's the prevailing opinion on leaving the vents open a crack while it's being stored between weekend outings? We have MaxAir2 covers on them. Just thinking it would vent some of the hot air that could get stale inside the camper

The only objection I can see is what happened to a trailer in the storage yard: the wind had been fairly heavy and gusty and apparently worked at the partially open vent until the thin plastic of the vent broke where the lever was attached.

here in Az I leave them open till a dust storm approaches then I run out & close them. I have the Maxx air covers. I also keep a few 5 gal buckets of water in there to keep some humidity in it.

I have the covers, only time mine are closed is when the A/C is running. Even in the winter when running the heater, I will leave one cacked open to prevent moisture from building up.
